1) Who We Are & How to Contact Us

Who We Are. BookQuizHub.com is owned and operated by Book Quiz Hub LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“BookQuizHub,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). BookQuizHub is an online platform for discovering books, taking quizzes, earning certificates, joining challenges, tracking progress, and viewing leaderboards.

This mailing address is for general correspondence and notices under these Terms (excluding formal DMCA notices, which must go to the DMCA Agent listed in Section 12).

2) Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parent/guardian consent. For school or library-sponsored access, an authorized adult must accept these Terms on behalf of participants under 18.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration data, safeguarding your credentials, and all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use.

3) Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

• We may offer free, trial, and paid plans (monthly, annual, lifetime, single-quiz, etc.). Prices and features are shown at checkout or in your account.
• Auto-renewal: Paid plans renew automatically until canceled in your account settings before the renewal date.
• Refunds: Unless required by law or explicitly stated otherwise during purchase, fees are non-refundable. Partial-period refunds are not provided.
• Failed payments: We may suspend or terminate access if a payment method fails.
• Taxes: Prices may exclude applicable taxes; you are responsible for any such taxes.

4) Quizzes, Challenges, Certificates & Leaderboards

4.1 Quizzes

• Quizzes are for learning and entertainment. We strive for accuracy, but questions/answers may contain errors.
• Fair play: No automated scripts, answer-sharing networks, unauthorized aids, or attempts to manipulate results.

4.2 Challenges

• Challenges may include prompts, reading goals, date windows, and participation limits. We may moderate, pause, or cancel a challenge to protect fairness or for technical/legal reasons.
• Sponsored challenges (e.g., by libraries, schools, publishers) may include extra rules or eligibility—shown on the challenge page. Sponsored perks do not create an employment, partnership, or agency relationship with BookQuizHub.

4.3 Certificates

• Digital certificates: Eligible users may earn downloadable digital certificates upon meeting the criteria shown in-app.
• Physical certificates (optional): We may offer a paid print version. The current price and shipping will be shown at checkout (e.g., $9.99 plus shipping, subject to change).
• Verification: We may verify eligibility, disqualify suspected cheating, and revoke certificates issued in error or obtained in violation of these Terms.
• Use: Certificates are for personal recognition only; BookQuizHub does not certify professional competence or academic credit.

4.4 Leaderboards, Badges & Tiers

• We rank users by rules displayed in the app (e.g., points, completion counts). We may reset or adjust scores to address cheating, bugs, or rule changes.
• Badges/Tiers/Medals are virtual items with no cash value and may be modified or retired.

5) Content & Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

The Service (including site design, text, graphics, logos, code, databases, quiz items, and challenge formats) is owned or licensed by BookQuizHub and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

5.2 Your Content (User-Generated Content)

You own your UGC, but by submitting it you grant BookQuizHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works from your UGC in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Service. This license survives account closure to the extent your UGC has been used within the Service’s normal operation.

You represent and warrant that your UGC does not infringe others’ rights, is lawful, and complies with these Terms and our Policies.

5.3 Third-Party Content & Links

We may display links to third-party sites and services (publishers, book retailers, libraries). BookQuizHub is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

6) Community Rules

• Be respectful; no harassment, hate speech, threats, or doxxing.
• No spam, undisclosed promotions, or deceptive practices.
• Reviews and comments must be honest, relevant, and in your own words.
• No manipulation of ratings, reviews, quizzes, challenges, leaderboards, or referrals (e.g., brigading, fake accounts, bots).
• Report issues using in-app tools; we may moderate, hide, or remove content at our discretion.

7) Academic Integrity & Anti-Cheating

When quizzes or challenges are used by schools, libraries, clubs, or sponsors, local academic integrity rules apply in addition to these Terms. Cheating (including AI-assisted mass answering, collusion, or exploitation of bugs) may result in score resets, loss of badges/certificates, suspension, or termination.

8) Sponsored, School, or Library Access

If your access is provided by a sponsor (e.g., school, library, employer), the sponsor may set participation limits, age gates, or branding (e.g., logos on challenge pages). Sponsors are independent from BookQuizHub; sponsor content and rules are their responsibility. BookQuizHub may remove sponsor materials that violate these Terms.

9) Affiliate Disclosures

We may earn commissions from affiliate links (e.g., to booksellers). Pricing and availability are set by the retailer. Affiliate relationships do not influence quiz outcomes, badges, or editorial independence.

10) Messaging, Email & SMS (Consent)

By providing your contact details, you consent to receiving transactional messages (e.g., receipts, password resets, quiz/challenge updates). You may opt-in to marketing emails/SMS and may opt-out at any time via provided mechanisms. Standard carrier rates may apply for SMS. See our Privacy Policy for details.

11) Privacy & Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, legal bases for processing, retention, your rights (access, deletion, portability), and how to contact us about privacy requests. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12) DMCA / Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to:

Your notice must include: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work; (c) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location (URL) on the Service; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

13) Prohibited Uses

• Use of the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of laws.
• Scraping, copying, or collecting data except as permitted; no automated access without written permission.
• Reverse-engineering, interfering with security, or introducing malware.
• Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation.
• Selling, renting, or sublicensing your account.

14) Changes, Availability & Beta Features

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We may offer beta or experimental features that may be unstable. No liability arises for such changes, and you acknowledge that beta features may not be fully secure or functional.

15) Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as-is” and “as-available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee continuous, error-free, or secure access.

16) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookQuizHub, its affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Maximum aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the prior 12 months, or $100 if you paid nothing.

17) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BookQuizHub from claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

18) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall first be addressed by informal negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be resolved via binding arbitration in Wyoming under the American Arbitration Association rules, unless prohibited by law.

19) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, applicable laws, or repeated misconduct. Termination does not relieve you from obligations incurred before termination. Sections covering intellectual property, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive termination.

20) International Use

The Service is intended for use in the United States. If you access from another country, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. We make no representation that content complies with foreign laws.

21) Notices; Entire Agreement; Severability

• Notices: Sent via email or our website, effective when sent.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms, Privacy Policy, and related policies constitute the complete agreement.
• Severability: If a provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.

Feature-Specific Addenda (Optional)

Certain features may have additional rules (e.g., timed challenges, partner programs). These addenda supplement, not replace, these Terms.
